Fickling & Co., Inc. is pleased to announce our newest multifamily acquisition, Fieldstone Apartments. Fieldstone is located in Mebane, North Carolina, a second-tier market centrally located between Raleigh/Durham and Greensboro, North Carolina. Fickling and its joint venture partner out of New York closed on the property on June 19, 2007.
Fieldstone, our new community, consists of 240 garden-style apartment homes. Fickling is executing a strategic capital improvement plan to create a dramatic impact that enhances the attributes of the asset, creates value and maximizes rent. Our value-added plan includes adding garages, painting the building exteriors with a crisp new color, adding shutters, enhancing the landscaping, striping and sealing the parking lots, adding a gas grill and arbor at the pool area, redesigning the clubhouse, installing space saver microwaves and upgrading the lighting in the unit interiors with new upscale fixtures.
Fickling & Company has also implemented our sophisticated management systems on the property in coordination with the capital improvement plan. With these changes, we look forward to outperforming our competition, steadily increasing rents and expanding our presence in the North Carolina multifamily market.
